Alone with God is the beauty of life! When He becomes your sole companion, you are a blessing to all-
(Psalms 62:5) My soul, be still only before God; for my expectation is from Him.
(Psalms 62:6) He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
(Psalms 62:7) In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength; my refuge is in God.
(Psalms 62:8) Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.
(Psalms 62:9) Surely the sons of men are a vapor; men are a lie; if they were to climb up into the scales, they are altogether lighter than vapor.
(Psalms 62:10) Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery; if riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.
(Psalms 62:11) God has spoken once, twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.
(Psalms 62:12) Also to You, O Jehovah, belongs mercy; for You give to every man according to his work.
Moses alone with God and God save the entire Israel-
(Deuteronomy 9:1) Hear, O Israel: You are crossing over the Jordan today, to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the heavens,
(Deuteronomy 9:2) a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you have known, and of whom you have heard it said, Who can stand before the sons of Anak?
(Deuteronomy 9:3) Therefore understand today that Jehovah your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; thus you shall dispossess them and destroy them quickly, as Jehovah has spoken to you.
(Deuteronomy 9:4) Do not think in your heart, after Jehovah your God has cast them out before you, saying, Because of my righteousness Jehovah has brought me in to possess this land; but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that Jehovah is driving them out before you.
(Deuteronomy 9:5) It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you are going in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations that Jehovah your God is driving them out before you, and that He may fulfill the word which Jehovah has sworn to your fathers; to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
(Deuteronomy 9:6) Therefore understand that Jehovah your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people.
(Deuteronomy 9:7) Remember; do not forget how you provoked Jehovah your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you departed from the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against Jehovah.
(Deuteronomy 9:8) Also in Horeb you provoked Jehovah to wrath, so that Jehovah was angry with you to have destroyed you.
(Deuteronomy 9:9) When I went up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant which Jehovah had made with you, I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water.
(Deuteronomy 9:10) And Jehovah gave me the two tablets of stone written with the finger of God, and on them were all the words which Jehovah had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
(Deuteronomy 9:11) And it came to pass, at the end of forty days and forty nights, that Jehovah had given me the two tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant.
(Deuteronomy 9:12) And Jehovah said to me, Arise, go down quickly from here, for your people whom you have brought out of Egypt have acted corruptly; they have quickly turned aside from the way which I have commanded them; they have made themselves a molten image.
(Deuteronomy 9:13) Furthermore Jehovah spoke to me, saying, I have seen this people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people.
(Deuteronomy 9:14) Let Me alone, that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under the heavens; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.
(Deuteronomy 9:15) So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire; and the two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.
(Deuteronomy 9:16) And I looked, and behold, you had sinned against Jehovah your God, and had made for yourselves a molten calf! You had turned aside quickly from the way which Jehovah had commanded you.
(Deuteronomy 9:17) And I took the two tablets and threw them out of my two hands and broke them before your eyes.
(Deuteronomy 9:18) And I fell down before Jehovah, as at the first, forty days and forty nights; I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you had sinned in doing evil in the eyes of Jehovah, to provoke Him to anger.
(Deuteronomy 9:19) For I was afraid of the anger and fury with which Jehovah had been angry with you, to destroy you. But Jehovah gave heed to me at that time also.
(Deuteronomy 9:20) And Jehovah was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him; and I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.
(Deuteronomy 9:21) And I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burned it with fire and crushed and ground it thoroughly, until it was as fine as dust; and I threw its dust into the brook that was coming down from the mountain.
(Deuteronomy 9:22) Also at Taberah and Massah and Kibroth Hattaavah you provoked Jehovah to wrath.
(Deuteronomy 9:23) Likewise, when Jehovah sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you, then you rebelled against the mouth of Jehovah your God, and you did not believe Him nor obey His voice.
(Deuteronomy 9:24) You have been rebellious against Jehovah from the day that I knew you.
(Deuteronomy 9:25) Thus I prostrated myself before Jehovah; forty days and forty nights I kept prostrating myself, because Jehovah had thought to annihilate you.
(Deuteronomy 9:26) Therefore I prayed to Jehovah, and said: O Lord Jehovah, do not destroy Your people and Your inheritance whom You have redeemed through Your greatness, whom You have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
(Deuteronomy 9:27) Remember Your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; do not look on the stubbornness of this people, or on their wickedness or their sin,
(Deuteronomy 9:28) lest the land from which You have brought us should say, Because Jehovah was not able to bring them to the land which He promised them, and because He hated them, He has brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.
(Deuteronomy 9:29) Yet they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You have brought out by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm.
Jesus alone with God, and defeated satan forever for us-
(Luke 4:1) Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
(Luke 4:2) being tried for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
(Luke 4:3) And the devil said to Him, If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.
(Luke 4:4) But Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.
(Luke 4:5) Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
(Luke 4:6) And the devil said to Him, All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
(Luke 4:7) Therefore, if You will do homage before me, all will be Yours.
(Luke 4:8) And Jesus answered and said to him, Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, You shall do homage to the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.
(Luke 4:9) Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the wing of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.
(Luke 4:10) For it is written: He shall give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you,
(Luke 4:11) and, In their hands they shall bear you up, that you may not dash your foot against a stone.
(Luke 4:12) And Jesus answered and said to him, It has been said, You shall not test the Lord your God.
(Luke 4:13) And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.
(Luke 4:14) And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.
(Luke 4:15) And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
(Luke 4:16) So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
(Luke 4:17) And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
(Luke 4:18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free with deliverance those who are oppressed;
(Luke 4:19) to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
(Luke 4:20) And He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on Him.
(Luke 4:21) And He began to say to them, Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your ears.
(Revelation 1:1) The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His servants; things which must happen quickly. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,
(Revelation 1:2) who bears witness to the Word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.
(Revelation 1:3) Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
(Revelation 1:4) John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
(Revelation 1:5) and from Jesus Christ, the Faithful Witness, the Firstborn out from the dead, and the Ruler over the kings of the earth; to Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
(Revelation 1:6) and has made us kings and priests to God, even His Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
(Revelation 1:7) Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
(Revelation 1:8) I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
(Revelation 1:9) I, John, both your brother and companion in the affliction and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos because of the Word of God and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ.
(Revelation 1:10) I came to be in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet,
(Revelation 1:11) saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last; and, What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
(Revelation 1:12) Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands,
(Revelation 1:13) and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.
(Revelation 1:14) Moreover His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;
(Revelation 1:15) His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters;
(Revelation 1:16) He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His appearance was like the sun shining in its strength.
(Revelation 1:17) And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not be terrified; I am the First and the Last.
(Revelation 1:18) I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Paul was alone with God, becomes blessing to the whole world-
(Romans 1:1) Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called an apostle, separated to the gospel of God
(Romans 1:2) which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures,
(Romans 1:3) concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh,
(Romans 1:4) and defined as the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
(Romans 1:5) Through Him we have received grace and apostleship unto obedience of faith among all nations for His name,
(Romans 1:6) among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;
(Romans 1:7) to all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Romans 1:8) First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout all the world.
(Romans 1:9) For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers,
(Romans 1:10) making request if, by any means now at last, I may prosper by the will of God to come to you.
(Romans 1:11) For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be strengthened;
(Romans 1:12) that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
(Romans 1:13) Now I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, that I often planned to come to you (but was prevented until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among the other Gentiles.
(Romans 1:14) I am a debtor both to the Greeks and to the barbarians, both to the wise and to the unwise.
(Romans 1:15) So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.
(Romans 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who is believing, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
(Romans 1:17) For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; even as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
(Galatians 1:1) Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead),
(Galatians 1:2) and all the brethren who are with me, to the churches of Galatia:
(Galatians 1:3) Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,
(Galatians 1:4) who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
(Galatians 1:5) to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
(Galatians 1:6) I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you into the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,
(Galatians 1:7) which is not another; but there are some who trouble you, even determined to pervert the gospel of Christ.
(Galatians 1:8) But even if we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
(Galatians 1:9) As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
(Galatians 1:10) For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
(Galatians 1:11) But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.
(Galatians 1:12) For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but by a revelation of Jesus Christ.
(Galatians 1:13) For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.
(Galatians 1:14) And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
(Galatians 1:15) But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace,
(Galatians 1:16) to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,
(Galatians 1:17) nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
(Galatians 1:18) Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to inquire of Peter, and remained with him fifteen days.
(Galatians 1:19) But I saw none of the other apostles except Jacob, the Lord’s brother.
(Galatians 1:20) (Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie.)
(Galatians 1:21) Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
(Galatians 1:22) And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which were in Christ.
(Galatians 1:23) But they were hearing only, He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.
(Galatians 1:24) And they glorified God in me.
(2 Timothy 4:1) I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
(2 Timothy 4:2) Preach the Word. Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
(2 Timothy 4:3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, desiring to hear pleasant things, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
(2 Timothy 4:4) and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to myths.
(2 Timothy 4:5) But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
(2 Timothy 4:6) For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.
(2 Timothy 4:7) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.
(2 Timothy 4:8) Hereafter, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all the ones loving His appearing.
(2 Timothy 4:9) Endeavor to come to me quickly;
(2 Timothy 4:10) for Demas has deserted me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica; Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.
(2 Timothy 4:11) Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry.
(2 Timothy 4:12) And Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
(2 Timothy 4:13) Bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas when you come; and the books, especially the parchments.
(2 Timothy 4:14) Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil. The Lord render to him according to his works.
(2 Timothy 4:15) You also be on guard against him, for he has greatly opposed our words.
(2 Timothy 4:16) At my first defense no one stood with me, but all deserted me. May it not be reckoned against them.
(2 Timothy 4:17) But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the preaching of the message might be fulfilled through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
(2 Timothy 4:18) And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and keep me safe for His Heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen.
(2 Timothy 4:19) Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
(2 Timothy 4:20) Erastus stayed in Corinth, but Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick.
(2 Timothy 4:21) Do your best to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, as well as Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brethren.
(2 Timothy 4:22) The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
As the Church!
In the name of Jesus we are boldly declaring:
We are alone with God to prepare the second coming of the LORD!
(Matthew 3:1) In those days John the Immerser came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
(Matthew 3:2) and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near!
(Matthew 3:3) For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.
(Matthew 3:4) And John himself was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather waistband around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
(Matthew 3:5) Then Jerusalem, all Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to him
(Matthew 3:6) and were immersed by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.
(Matthew 3:7) But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his immersion, he said to them, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
(Matthew 3:8) Therefore bring forth fruits worthy of repentance,
(Matthew 3:9) and do not think to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
(Matthew 3:10) And now already the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore any tree which does not bear good fruit is cut off and thrown into the fire.
(Matthew 3:11) I indeed immerse you in water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit and fire;
(Matthew 3:12) whose winnowing shovel is in His hand, and He will thoroughly cleanse His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the granary; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
(Matthew 3:13) Then Jesus comes from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be immersed by him.
(Matthew 3:14) But John tried to prevent Him, saying, I need to be immersed by You, and do You come to me?
(Matthew 3:15) But Jesus answered and said to him, Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he allowed Him.
(Matthew 3:16) And when He had been immersed, Jesus went up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon Him.
(Matthew 3:17) And behold a voice out of heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
(Matthew 4:1) Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
(Matthew 4:2) And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
(Matthew 4:3) And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If You are the Son of God, speak that these stones may become bread.
(Matthew 4:4) But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes forth from the mouth of God.
(Matthew 4:5) Then the devil takes Him up into the holy city, and sets Him on the wing of the temple,
(Matthew 4:6) and says to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: He shall give His angels charge concerning you, and, in their hands they shall bear you up, that you may not dash your foot against a stone.
(Matthew 4:7) Jesus said to him, It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God.
(Matthew 4:8) Again, the devil takes Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and shows Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
(Matthew 4:9) And he says to Him, All these things I will give to You if You will fall down and do homage to me.
(Matthew 4:10) Then Jesus said to him, Go away, Satan! For it has been written, You shall do homage to the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.
(Matthew 4:11) Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
(Matthew 4:12) Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up to prison, He withdrew into Galilee.
(Matthew 4:13) And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali,
(Matthew 4:14) that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
(Matthew 4:15) The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles:
(Matthew 4:16) The people who sat in darkness have seen a great Light, and upon those sitting in the region and shadow of death, Light has sprung up.
(Matthew 4:17) From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.
(Matthew 4:18) And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
(Matthew 4:19) And He says to them, Come after Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
(Matthew 4:20) And they immediately left their nets and followed Him.
(Matthew 4:21) And going on from there, He saw two other brothers, Jacob the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. And He called them,
(Matthew 4:22) and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.
(Matthew 4:23) And Jesus went around all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every infirmity among the people.
(Matthew 4:24) And His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all the sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.
(Matthew 4:25) And great multitudes followed Him; from Galilee, and Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and beyond the Jordan.
(Matthew 25:1) Then the kingdom of Heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
(Matthew 25:2) And five of them were wise, and five foolish.
(Matthew 25:3) Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
(Matthew 25:4) but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
(Matthew 25:5) But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all nodded and fell asleep.
(Matthew 25:6) And at midnight there was a cry: Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!
(Matthew 25:7) Then all those virgins arose and prepared their lamps.
(Matthew 25:8) And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.
(Matthew 25:9) But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.
(Matthew 25:10) And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut.
(Matthew 25:11) Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us!
(Matthew 25:12) But he answered and said, Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.
(Matthew 25:13) Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man comes.
(Matthew 25:14) For the kingdom of Heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.
(Matthew 25:15) And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on the journey.
(Matthew 25:16) Then he who had received the five talents went and did business with them, and made another five talents.
(Matthew 25:17) And likewise he who had received two, also gained two more.
(Matthew 25:18) But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money.
(Matthew 25:19) After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
(Matthew 25:20) So he who had received five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered to me five talents; behold, I have gained another five talents besides them.
(Matthew 25:21) His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will appoint you administrator over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.
(Matthew 25:22) He also who had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered to me two talents; behold, I have gained another two talents besides them.
(Matthew 25:23) His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will appoint you administrator over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.
(Matthew 25:24) Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.
(Matthew 25:25) And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Behold, there you have what is yours.
(Matthew 25:26) But his lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter.
(Matthew 25:27) So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.
(Matthew 25:28) Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
(Matthew 25:29) For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
(Matthew 25:30) And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(Matthew 25:31) When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
(Matthew 25:32) And all the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats.
(Matthew 25:33) And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
(Matthew 25:34) Then the King will say to those on His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
(Matthew 25:35) for I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
(Matthew 25:36) I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.
(Matthew 25:37) Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
(Matthew 25:38) When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
(Matthew 25:39) Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?
(Matthew 25:40) And the King will answer and say to them, Truly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.
(Matthew 25:41) Then He will also say to those on the left hand, Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire having been prepared for the devil and his angels:
(Matthew 25:42) for I was hungry and you did not give Me a thing to eat; I was thirsty and you did not give Me a thing to drink;
(Matthew 25:43) I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.
(Matthew 25:44) Then they also will answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?
(Matthew 25:45) Then He will answer them, saying, Truly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.
(Matthew 25:46) And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
(Matthew 26:1) Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, that He said to His disciples,
(Matthew 26:2) You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.
(Matthew 26:3) Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
(Matthew 26:4) and plotted to take Jesus by trickery and kill Him.
(Matthew 26:5) But they said, Not during the Feast, that there not be an uproar among the people.
(Matthew 26:6) And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper,
(Matthew 26:7) a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly ointment, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.
(Matthew 26:8) But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, Why this waste?
(Matthew 26:9) For this ointment might have been sold for much and given to the poor.
(Matthew 26:10) But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work toward Me.
(Matthew 26:11) For you have the poor with you always, but you do not always have Me.
(Matthew 26:12) For in pouring this ointment on My body, she did it for My burial.
(Matthew 26:13) Truly, I say to you, Wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial of her.
(Matthew 26:14) Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests
(Matthew 26:15) and said, What will you give me, and I will deliver Him to you? And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.
(Matthew 26:16) So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.
(Matthew 26:17) Now on the first day of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?
(Matthew 26:18) And He said, Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, The Teacher says, My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.
(Matthew 26:19) So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and prepared the Passover.
(Matthew 26:20) When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve.
(Matthew 26:21) And as they were eating, He said, Truly, I say to you, One of you will betray Me.
(Matthew 26:22) And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, Lord, it is not I is it?
(Matthew 26:23) He answered and said, He who dips his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me.
(Matthew 26:24) The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he was never born.
(Matthew 26:25) Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, Rabbi, it is not I is it? He said to him, You have said it.
(Matthew 26:26) And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat; this is My body.
(Matthew 26:27) Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink all of it.
(Matthew 26:28) For this is My blood of the New Covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.
(Matthew 26:29) But I say to you, I will not at all drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.
(Matthew 26:30) And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
(Matthew 26:31) Then Jesus said to them, All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.
(Matthew 26:32) But after I have been raised, I will go before you into Galilee.
(Matthew 26:33) Peter answered and said to Him, Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.
(Matthew 26:34) Jesus said to him, Truly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.
(Matthew 26:35) Peter said to Him, Even if I have to die with You, I will not at all deny You! And so said all the disciples.
(Matthew 26:36) Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, Sit here while I go and pray over there.
(Matthew 26:37) And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and in extreme anguish.
(Matthew 26:38) And He said to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death. Stay here and watch with Me.
(Matthew 26:39) And He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.
(Matthew 26:40) And He came to the disciples and found them asleep, and said to Peter, What? Were you not able to watch with Me one hour?
(Matthew 26:41) Watch and pray, that you not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
(Matthew 26:42) Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.
(Matthew 26:43) And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.
(Matthew 26:44) So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
(Matthew 26:45) Then He came to His disciples and said to them, Sleep on and rest. Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being delivered into the hands of sinners.
(Matthew 26:46) Arise, let us be going. Behold, My betrayer is at hand.
(Matthew 26:47) And while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and elders of the people.
(Matthew 26:48) Now His betrayer had given them a sign, saying, Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him.
(Matthew 26:49) And immediately he went up to Jesus and said, Greetings, Rabbi; and kissed Him.
(Matthew 26:50) But Jesus said to him, Friend, why are you here? Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him.
(Matthew 26:51) And behold, one of those with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
(Matthew 26:52) But Jesus said to him, Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.
(Matthew 26:53) Or do you think that I am not able now to pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?
(Matthew 26:54) How then shall the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen this way?
(Matthew 26:55) In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, Have you come out, as against a robber, to take Me with swords and clubs? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.
(Matthew 26:56) But all this is happening that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.
(Matthew 26:57) And those who had laid hold of Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
(Matthew 26:58) But Peter followed Him at a distance to the high priest’s courtyard. And he went in and sat with the servants to see the end.
(Matthew 26:59) Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death,
(Matthew 26:60) but found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward
(Matthew 26:61) and said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.
(Matthew 26:62) And the high priest arose and said to Him, Do You answer nothing? What is it these men bear witness against You?
(Matthew 26:63) But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, I adjure You by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!
(Matthew 26:64) Jesus said to him, You said it. Nevertheless, I say to you, Hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
(Matthew 26:65) Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, now you have heard His blasphemy!
(Matthew 26:66) What is your opinion? They answered and said, He is worthy of death.
(Matthew 26:67) Then they spat in His face and beat Him with the fist; and others slapped Him,
(Matthew 26:68) saying, Prophesy to us, Christ! Who is the one who struck You?
(Matthew 26:69) Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, You also were with Jesus of Galilee.
(Matthew 26:70) But he denied it before them all, saying, I do not know what you are saying.
(Matthew 26:71) And when he had gone out to the porch, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.
(Matthew 26:72) And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man!
(Matthew 26:73) And a little later those who stood by came up and said to Peter, Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you.
(Matthew 26:74) Then he began to curse and swear, saying, I do not know the Man! And immediately a rooster crowed.
(Matthew 26:75) And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times. And he went out and wept bitterly.
(Matthew 27:1) When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put Him to death.
(Matthew 27:2) And when they had bound Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
(Matthew 27:3) Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He was condemned, repented and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
(Matthew 27:4) saying, I have sinned by betraying innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? You see to it.
(Matthew 27:5) And he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.
(Matthew 27:6) And the chief priests took the silver pieces and said, It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
(Matthew 27:7) And they took counsel and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.
(Matthew 27:8) Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day.
(Matthew 27:9) Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him who was valued, whom they of the children of Israel valued,
(Matthew 27:10) and gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord directed me.
(Matthew 27:11) And Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor questioned Him, saying, Are You the King of the Jews? And Jesus said to him, It is as you say.
(Matthew 27:12) And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.
(Matthew 27:13) Then Pilate said to Him, Do You not hear how many things they witness against You?
(Matthew 27:14) But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.
(Matthew 27:15) Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to releasing to the multitude one prisoner whom they wished.
(Matthew 27:16) And at that time they had a notorious prisoner called Barabbas.
(Matthew 27:17) Therefore, when they had gathered together, Pilate said to them, Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?
(Matthew 27:18) For he knew that they had delivered Him over because of envy.
(Matthew 27:19) While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, Have nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.
(Matthew 27:20) But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus.
(Matthew 27:21) The governor answered and said to them, Which of the two do you want me to release to you? They said, Barabbas!
(Matthew 27:22) Pilate said to them, What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ? They all say to him, Let Him be crucified!
(Matthew 27:23) And the governor said, Why, what evil has He done? But they cried out all the more, saying, Let Him be crucified!
(Matthew 27:24) When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it.
(Matthew 27:25) And all the people answered and said, His blood be on us and on our children.
(Matthew 27:26) Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.
(Matthew 27:27) Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison against Him.
(Matthew 27:28) And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him.
(Matthew 27:29) And when they had woven a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
(Matthew 27:30) And they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head.
(Matthew 27:31) And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to crucify Him.
(Matthew 27:32) Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross.
(Matthew 27:33) And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull,
(Matthew 27:34) they gave Him vinegar mixed with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink.
(Matthew 27:35) And they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.
(Matthew 27:36) And sitting down, they kept watch over Him there.
(Matthew 27:37) And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
(Matthew 27:38) And two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and another on the left.
(Matthew 27:39) And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads
(Matthew 27:40) and saying, You who destroys the temple and builds it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.
(Matthew 27:41) Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said,
(Matthew 27:42) He saved others; He has no power to save Himself. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.
(Matthew 27:43) He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, I am the Son of God.
(Matthew 27:44) Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing.
(Matthew 27:45) Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land.
(Matthew 27:46) And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?
(Matthew 27:47) Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, This Man calls for Elijah.
(Matthew 27:48) And immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with vinegar and put it on a reed, and gave Him to drink.
(Matthew 27:49) The rest said, Let be; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him.
(Matthew 27:50) And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
(Matthew 27:51) Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,
(Matthew 27:52) and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
(Matthew 27:53) and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and were manifest to many.
(Matthew 27:54) Now when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God!
(Matthew 27:55) And many women who followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to Him, were there looking on from afar,
(Matthew 27:56) among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of Jacob and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.
(Matthew 27:57) And when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself was also a disciple of Jesus.
(Matthew 27:58) He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. And Pilate commanded the body to be given.
(Matthew 27:59) And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
(Matthew 27:60) and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed.
(Matthew 27:61) And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.
(Matthew 27:62) And on the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate,
(Matthew 27:63) saying, Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, After three days I will rise.
(Matthew 27:64) Therefore, command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, that His disciples not come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, He has risen from the dead. So the last deception will be worse than the first.
(Matthew 27:65) Pilate said to them, You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.
(Matthew 27:66) So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard.
(Matthew 28:1) Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
(Matthew 28:2) And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from Heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.
(Matthew 28:3) His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.
(Matthew 28:4) And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.
(Matthew 28:5) And the angel answered and said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
(Matthew 28:6) He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.
(Matthew 28:7) And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and behold He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.
(Matthew 28:8) And they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to report this to His disciples.
(Matthew 28:9) And as they went to bring word to His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, Greetings! And they came and held Him by the feet and did homage to Him.
(Matthew 28:10) And Jesus said to them, Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.
(Matthew 28:11) Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened.
(Matthew 28:12) And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,
(Matthew 28:13) saying, Say, His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.
(Matthew 28:14) And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free from anxiety.
(Matthew 28:15) So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews to this day.
(Matthew 28:16) Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
(Matthew 28:17) And when they saw Him, they did homage to Him; but some doubted.
(Matthew 28:18) And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and on earth.
(Matthew 28:19) Go therefore and instruct all the nations, immersing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
(Matthew 28:20) teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.
(Acts 1:1) The former account I made, O Theophilus, of everything that Jesus began both to do and teach,
(Acts 1:2) until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,
(Acts 1:3) to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
(Acts 1:4) And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, which, He said, you have heard from Me;
(Acts 1:5) for John truly immersed in water, but you shall be immersed in the Holy Spirit not many days from now.
(Acts 1:6) Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?
(Acts 1:7) And He said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
(Acts 1:8) But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit is come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
(Acts 1:9) Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
(Acts 1:10) And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,
(Acts 1:11) who also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into Heaven, will so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into Heaven.
